Late night food outings with the family gang have become such norm in recent months and as enjoyable as they are i can't help but wonder when this routine will change and come to an end...
It's like high school days. Going to school like that everyday never felt like it would end really coz it's like your just so used to it...you never really thought about how it'd feel like to not wake up, run for that same old tram, walk up that steep path into the doors of khs, climb those stairs, hang around those lockers, walk through those basketball courts and such. But being back there last night really hit me as to how the norm of our lives can so suddenly just dissolved away. The school really looks like crap now, everything seems so run down and small compared to before somehow. Maybe coz the place was completely empty but it felt really strange being there again, it felt so familiar yet i feel world's away from it at the same time. It's funny noticing all the little things that are the same, and seeing all the new things that have changed. The canteen still had their shitty blue plastic chairs lol, the stairs and hallways looked identical, yet there was a whole lot of new stuff that seemed outa place coz it was all never there before. hmm... but yeah i guess what i'm getting at is; maybe the future will no longer have a place for us to have our random bumming... maybe one day it'll prob just stop and all i have to look back on these times will be these blog entries??
Anyhow, i suppose i should get to the point seeing as though this is suppose to be a FOOD blog, not to be confused with my wondering mind and emo thoughts. lol
So yeah, we adventured out to Glen Waverly tonight... We fully noticed what a damn box hill imitation glenny was...but just with more parking spots? haha...we ended up in a cha chan tang - the classic old hk style ones~ (damn brings me back hk memories)
I suppose this will be the very last time we get to do this as a "whole" :( Either for now...? or forever...? i guess the three of us here will still be doing this kinda thing, just that we'll be missing the good old sensible one now...
my yin yueng - haven't had one of these since 2008 in hk!! dearly missed.
